Accessibility
How our site and games work for every kid and grown-up, and where they still fall short. Last updated October 26, 2026.
This website
We build this site toward the WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines and run automated accessibility checks on every page before each release. Every page works with a keyboard and shows where you are on it, images have text descriptions, text meets contrast guidelines, and motion stops for anyone whose device asks for less of it. Videos have a pause button.
Our games
- Every game plays with touch on tablets and phones, and with a keyboard on laptops and Chromebooks.
- Soccer Kids and Hockey Kids have Simple controls with one main button. In Pickle Kids, Auto run moves the player so a kid only has to time the swing.
- Every game has an Easy level a new player can win.
- In Soccer Kids' Learn mode, the coach's instructions show on screen as well as being spoken, and play slows to 80 percent speed.
- Sound can be turned off from the title screen.
Where we fall short
- The games are drawn on a canvas, so a screen reader can't follow the play. The menus and buttons around each game are standard controls a screen reader can use.
- Teams are told apart by color, Blue and Red, and by which way they attack. There's no color-blind palette yet.
- The matches move quickly. Easy and Learn mode are the gentlest ways in, but there's no separate speed setting yet.
For schools and programs
If a student needs something our games don't do yet, tell us. A custom game can be built around it, and we'll answer your district's accessibility questions in writing before a project starts.
