One team, start to finish
The same team is on your first call, writes your plan, runs the play-test rounds and answers every message, from the first sketch to launch.
Paper Kid Games is a small studio that makes browser games for kids, starring the kids who play them. We're part of Miles Media.
It started with one kid. Our team at Miles Media builds websites and software for businesses and nonprofits, and we began making games for Ziggy, our founder's son, starring Ziggy and Pam, the family's black pug. They grew into a whole arcade made from Ziggy's world.
Along the way the work produced the things this studio runs on: a cast of paper kids drawn in code, a sports engine with two cameras that has carried soccer, floor hockey and pickleball, and a way of working where the family plays every build and tells us what to add before the next one ships.
Paper Kid Games opens that up to other families, and to the teams, schools and programs that want games kids will actually play.
Who you'll talk to
Our team, from the first message to launch
Our team reads every message that comes through this site and answers it, usually within one business day. The first conversation is a free 20-minute call about your kid or your team.
Paper Kid Games is part of Miles Media, so the hosting, the web address, the privacy and the long-term care of your game are handled by the people who build it.
The same team is on your first call, writes your plan, runs the play-test rounds and answers every message, from the first sketch to launch.
Your game is made in our studio, on the same engine and code that run every game on this site.
Every player is drawn as a paper kid by the games' own art code, from the look you pick. Photos you send are only a reference and never appear in the game.
They play early builds, and you tell us what they loved and what bugged them. Each round starts from those notes, the way the family's notes shaped every round of Ziggy Games.
Kids play the games. Grown-ups ask for them, approve them and decide what goes in. Every message from this site goes to an adult.
No ads, no in-app purchases, no chat and no accounts. That goes for anything we make for kids.
Kids appear as paper kids drawn in code. We never put a child's photo in a game.
A sports game should teach the sport the way kids actually play it, down to who takes the throw-in and how pickleball is scored.
Games are built for the family tablet first and checked with real touches on phone and iPad sizes before anything ships.
Simulation tests play whole matches before every update, test bots set the difficulty levels, and scripts check every game for errors on phones.
Start with the Player Builder, or send a message first. Either way, the next step is a conversation with our team.
